Question 1: Do I need to have knowledge of Chinese herbs to use this product?

Answer: No, Pet Herb Store formulas require no prior herbal knowledge. Each product comes in pill form and is shipped with full dosage information, based on your pet's species and weight. Pills are coated and easier to swallow. This decreases unpleasant tastes for your pet and ensures proper potency is preserved.

Question 2: Are Chinese herbs safe for my pet? Do they have side effects like the medicine I get from a veterinarian's office?

Answer: Pet Herb Store formulas are safe plants and herbal ingredients that have been used by medical professionals in China for thousands of years. Formulated to work gently with your pet's body, there are no reported side effects. They have been veterinarian tested and there is also ongoing clinical research and development worldwide.

Question 3: Is it okay to use human medicine for pets?

Answer: We do not recommend giving your pet any medicine that is formulated for humans. Some people use products designed for humans on their pets but these may not be appropriate because animal physiology is different and human products don't always work for pets. They may also affect your pet much differently than they would a human. Figuring out proper dosages for animals can be difficult because they are species and weight-based.

Question 4: I have some medicine from my veterinarian. Do I need to stop this before I use Pet Herb Store products?

Answer: Pet Herb Store products are mild and can be used in combination with medicines prescribed by your veterinarian. Use of our herbal formulas can decrease the side effects from your veterinarian's medicine and can also decrease the dosage required. Pet Herb Store formulas should be given 1/2 hour before meals and 1 hour apart from any other medicines to make sure they are properly absorbed.

Question 5: For what kinds of pet problems are herbs effective?

Answer: Simple pet problems like motion sickness, allergy relief, urinary assistance, weight loss, calming and thyroid imbalance can be safely and economically remedied with Pet Herb Store formulas. You can save money compared to regular veterinarian bills and medicines.

Question 6: Can I use Pet Herb Store products during my pet's pregnancy?

Answer: Pet Herb Store formulas are not recommended for use with pregnant pets.

Question 7: How long can I keep Pet Herb Store formulas?

Answer: The shelf life is approximately three years for optimum potency.
